Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
The short version. Cancel whenever you like by emailing me — no notice period, no cancellation fee, no phone call to sit through. Within 30 days of your first payment you can have that payment back in full, for any reason, on any subscription plan — including a yearly one. The one-time build is the single exception, and section 3 explains why.
1. What you are paying for
The subscription plans are $149, $279 or $549 USD per month, or the same plan paid yearly at ten times the monthly price. Setup is free, so your first payment is taken on the day your website and systems go live and you have approved them, not before. The subscription then renews automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel it. All the plans are set out on the pricing page.
2. The 30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not happy with the service, tell me within 30 days of your first payment and I will refund that payment in full.
- You do not have to explain why.
- There is no form to fill in. An email is enough.
- It covers the full amount of that first payment, not a portion of it.
- It applies to every subscription plan, on monthly and yearly billing alike.
- On a yearly plan that means the entire year's payment back, not one month of it.
The guarantee applies once, to your first payment. It is not available again if you cancel, resubscribe, and cancel a second time.
3. The one-time build is different
The one-time build — $2,900 paid once for a website that is transferred to you and becomes yours — is not a subscription, and the 30-day money-back guarantee does not apply to it once the website has been finished and handed over. At that point the work has been delivered and it cannot be handed back.
That is the one place on this site where the guarantee has a limit, so I would rather say it plainly than bury it. If you want the guarantee, take a subscription plan. The $39 per month hosting and care that can follow a one-time build is a subscription, and the 30-day guarantee applies to it in the normal way.
If I have not finished the build yet, and you change your mind, email me — I will refund what is fair for the work not yet done, and I would rather sort that out directly than argue about it.
4. After the first 30 days
From then on the subscription runs period to period, and payments already made are not refunded.
That is not a technicality designed to catch you out — it reflects the fact that the work for that period has already been done and the hosting, tools and platforms for it have already been paid for. On a monthly plan it means you are never locked in for longer than the month you are currently in. On a yearly plan it means the year you have paid for, which is why the 30-day guarantee on a yearly plan returns the whole of it — that is your window to decide.
Exceptions
I will refund outside the 30-day window if:
- You were charged after you had already asked me to cancel;
- You were charged twice for the same period;
- I failed to deliver the service for that period for reasons that were my fault.
5. How to cancel
Email [[EMAIL]] from the address on your account, or any address I know is yours, and say that you want to cancel. That is the whole process.
- Confirmation
- I will confirm by email within one business day. If you do not hear back, assume it did not arrive and email me again.
- When it takes effect
- At the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep the service until then.
- Further charges
- None. The recurring payment is cancelled with the payment processor at the same time.
- Notice period
- None, and there is no cancellation fee.
To avoid being charged for another period, cancel before your renewal date. A cancellation that arrives after a renewal has been taken applies to the following period.
6. How a refund is paid
- Method
- Back to the card or payment method you originally paid with. I cannot send it anywhere else.
- When I issue it
- Within 5 business days of agreeing the refund.
- When it reaches you
- Usually 5 to 10 business days after that, depending on your bank. That part is out of my hands.
- Fees
- I do not deduct anything. You get the full amount that was charged.
7. What happens to your website
On a subscription plan the website is hosted and maintained as part of the subscription, so hosting ends at the end of your final billing period and the site goes offline. A one-time build you have paid for is yours and stays yours — cancelling its $39 per month hosting and care only ends my hosting of it, and I will help you move it elsewhere.
Your own material stays yours. Ask me and I will send you a copy of your content, images, text and lead records at no charge. If you own your domain name, it stays yours and I will release it. Full detail is in the Terms of Service.
8. If I cancel
I may end the subscription if the service is being used in breach of the Terms of Service, or if payment fails repeatedly and is not put right. Where I end it for any other reason, I will give you 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
9. Please talk to me before disputing a charge
If a charge looks wrong, email me first. I would far rather refund you directly, the same week, than have both of us spend a month inside a card dispute. I have never refused a refund that was owed.
